The Strull Wedding
David and Alyssa are two of our best friends in the San Francisco. Along with many others, we had been anticipating their wedding for some time. Even before they were engaged we started referring to them as "the Strulls." They are a fantastic couple, and we could not be happier for them to be married now! Plus, their wedding was SO MUCH FUN! Their San Francisco wedding had an industrial, rustic and diy vibe that worked really well. The inside of the wedding venue, SOMArts, is sort of barn like with the exposed beams, and they had gobo light projections along the walls that looked like branches. They made tons of rustic diy elements like the mason jars wrapped with twine, painted the mercury glass jars, vintage books, and other props to deck out the tables with. We went out to the presidio to do their wedding portraits surrounded by the beautiful trees keeping with this theme. Tons of other friends pitched in to help pull the wedding together too, like master baker /food stylist Abby Stolfo, who made the wedding cake (It was literally the best wedding cake that I've ever put in my mouth too!), or Jesse Hagy who did the music for the reception, Kristin Grunick did the day of coordinating, Alyssa's aunt, Pat Cambell made the floral arrangements, her parents di more than I can even list here, I designed the wedding invites.... It was an amazing celebration with all of our friends. Thanks to Michael Rowley for shooting with me. Congratulation to the Strulls! We love you guys!!!
